Hormone Care for Women and Men

Hormones affect your sleep, energy, mood, metabolism, sexual health, cycles, bones, and muscles. When something feels off, it’s worth a careful look. Sometimes hormones are the cause, and sometimes something else is.
Dr. Cooper starts by listening. She will review your symptoms, history, and medications, then decide with you whether testing or treatment makes sense.

Hormone Care for Women

We evaluate concerns related to:
• Perimenopause and menopause
• Hot flashes and night sweats
• Sleep changes
• Mood changes
• Vaginal dryness or discomfort
• Changes in sexual health
• Irregular or heavy periods
• Thyroid-related symptoms
• Polycystic ovary syndrome (PCOS)
• Bone health
Treatment may include education, lifestyle changes, nonhormonal options, or
hormone therapy when appropriate.

Hormone Care for Men

We evaluate concerns related to:
• Low energy or motivation
• Mood changes
• Low sex drive or erectile concerns
• Loss of muscle or strength
• Sleep changes
• Changes in body composition
• Low testosterone
• Thyroid-related symptoms

Symptoms alone don’t confirm a hormone problem. When appropriate, we’ll check labs and look at other possible causes like sleep, stress, medications, depression, or
chronic illness.

Hormone Pellet Therapy

Dr. Cooper is currently the only EvexiPEL-certified physician in the North Charlotte area. She offers hormone pellet therapy for both women and men. Pellets aren’t the right fit for everyone. If you’re interested, she’ll review your labs, history, and goals with you first.

FAQ's

Not always. Testing depends on your symptoms, history, and exam. Some levels need to be checked at a certain time of day or point in your cycle to be accurate.

It can when a confirmed hormone condition is part of the cause. Fatigue and weight changes have many possible causes, so we look at the full picture first.

That depends on the type of treatment, your age, your health and family history, and your personal risk factors. We’ll go over the benefits and risks with you before you start.

For eligible patients with symptoms and confirmed low levels, yes. Testosterone requires a careful evaluation and ongoing monitoring.

Yes. There are good nonhormonal and lifestyle options, and many women do well with them.

Your consultation and lab work are usually covered by insurance. The hormone pellet procedure itself is self-pay. We offer payment plans through Cherry. Learn more on our Cherry page.
